Wonderous Wallpaper

What fabulous wallpaper I have just found for our new hallway (when we actually get the flat!). I love how strong and unique this is! Not just gauche chrysthanthemums and overdone flock. The duck egg, cream and silver will be sublime in that space - am thinking cream skirting with wood floors and a sisal runner through the hall and passage to the second bedroom, topped off with my handmade chandelier and hanging venetian glass bird. Gosh I am excited now! And to top it off it was on sale, and you know me the bargain queen! Designer Graham & Brown wallpaper for £13!!!!

Garden concept

Ok, so I have been having way too much fun with the kitsch filters in PS. This is just a play around with garden concepts.

The beds will be raised, the one at the end of the lawn is so you can lean cushions against something solid when you are reading on the lawn. The patio will be raised off the ground by about one breeze block. As I say, just concepts...

The floorplans

The top image shows the proposed changes to the floorplan. Basically, we are going to break through the utility room wall with an arch and beam to create an open plan kitchen/ lounge which will suit our cooking/ chatting lifestyle perfectly! The changes to the shelves and cupboards are just ideas at this stage, we will know more after we are in! (Hoping transfer goes through without a hitch!!)

Combining the kitchen and lounge means we are going to have to lay wooden flooring in the whole room, which would be ideal, but expensive.

Lots to think about at this stage.
